Day Trip to Le Domaine des Fauves
We visited Le Domaine des Fauves in late October, a zoo park located in Les Abrets-en-Dauphiné, a small town in south-eastern France. It is 45 minutes by car from Lyon and 40 minutes from Grenoble. And as its name suggests – fauves means beasts/predators – it specializes in the presentation of predators from 5 continents.
Visitors get the opportunity to learn more about the animals through animations. Visitors can also participate in the feedings of certain animals including the cheetah, jaguars and white tigers.
They have 3 bouncy castles for the kids to play on, a small play ground and picnic area as well. This year (2017), they have included two new inflatable games including a giant slide.
They also have a mini-farm where we get to meet sheep dwarves, chickens, rabbits and guinea pigs.
